Same problem here - opening this page loops indefinitely opening/closing:

Are you able to reproduce these reload loops on a fresh Orion profile? (File → Profiles → New Profile…)
Both pages work as expected on both Orion and Orion RC for me.

Another helpful thing would be a video of you reproducing the issue.

laiz I created a second profile, opened a link to this discussion, then tried the link the "offending" link.
In the new profile, it loaded properly without issue.

My primary profile, where I have the issue, has 27 saved windows, many of them with dozens of tabs. Most of them are suspended at any given moment.

I don't know what to conclude from this exactly.

laiz Also, whenever I do encounter this failure mode, I find that disabling Javascript for a given site, stops the bad behavior. So something in my old profile PLUS Javascript execution (e.g. Ajax callbacks) are involved in the infinite loop behavior.

laiz I selected the Settings -> Privacy -> Orion Reset... dialog and reset everything that was selected. I apologize that I don't have a screenshot of the selected items though i thought I saw it had all options checked. After the reset, the infinite loops have disappeared.

If I encounter the issue again, I will try to go through the reset options systematically to narrow down the problem area.

I hope my workaround will help Paul or lead to better a precise fix.

That's great to hear! Let's hope things stay that way. If I had to guess, one of these was the key to fixing the refresh loops

laiz Odds are it was the last option "Empty local storage and databases". I had tried just the first three before without luck so, yeah.

thanks - I did exactly the same as you. Disabling javascript stps looping, but doesn't help as page unusable.
Orion rest in privacy tab goesn't help.

Problem crept back in but only as I started putting things back that the reset took away. This time I tracked it down to the Zotero Extension for Firefox. I reproduced the problem using Paul's URL and then toggled / the Zotero Connector on and off. On, the problem exists. Off, the problem goes away.

PaulTrubert Sadly, no. I haven't done attachments on this site. The difference in our experience is perplexing.

The only commonality between our experiences besides the end result seems to be a dependency on Javascript. There might be a clue in the Javascript that gets loaded with your reference URL

In your case, I'm guessing you have a registered SFR mail account and your login id and password are already saved by your instance of Orion RC. I wonder if the trigger has to do with the code that populates the login and password fields for you?

What if you go to Settings -> Passwords and disable the Password AutoFill options as an experiment?
