Vertical tabs are a really good use case for when you have a LOT of tabs open. An option to quick search/filter the opened vertical tabs could increase the utility of this feature.
fobos531 We actually had a search bar on the top of vertical tabs and users asked us to remove us because of 'clutter'. As @TheOtherKai says, there is built in search in address bar.
You can search tabs in the address bar, and there should be an option to switch to it
Wow that is actually a really neat way to tackle the problem, I wasn't aware it! IMO you can disregard this, unless someone else wants to chip in.
fobos531 I would be interested in learning why you weren't aware of this/how we can make it more discoverable (not every user facing this will post on board here?)
Vlad I wasn't aware because i'm used to a dedicated thing for it. Maybe for discoverability, redirect the search tabs shortcut (cmd-shift-a if I'm not wrong) to focus the address bar.
TheOtherKai OK seems like it is binded to Extensions window. What is the shortcut in Chrome to pull up extensions?
Vlad NO shortcut. We will rebind. Thank you
Vlad Don't think many people use cmd-shift-a for that.
