Very often beach ball loading / stalling during actions

Just generally browsing seems a lot more prone to lag and stalling, often resulting in beach ball loading for simple things like loading websites and scrolling

I'm on a M1 Pro MBP with 16GB RAM, and I'm usually around 14GB RAM even with other programs open, so I don't think it's that. I've also tried to use Orion's Low Power Mode to unload/suspend all my tabs and that also doesn't fix it.

I could reset / start using a new instance of Orion but then unless I can easily import everything I'd have to start from scratch

Sam here @yeshy. Randomly after some usage becomes slow, laggy and stalls.

Apart from this, really not facing any issue, but this is a deal breaker as basic usage becomes cumbersome. But happy to help and test any changes.

Did anyone see this on older versions ? Happy to downgrade.

SanjeevKhodaskar any autofill extensions installed? as that can be a potential root cause. If disabling autofill extensions fixes the issue, please let us know, so we can try looking for a solution for the same.

dino I don't, I only have extensions that are active on a few sites, and it still occurs on other sites / when the extension affiliated sites are closed

I am not using any auto fill extension. I do have (a) AdGaurd installed (b) mini toolbar turned on (c) using 125% page zoom by default.

Just today morning (I am in India), I updated to the latest Beta (Version 0.99.136-beta (WebKit 622.1.15.19.2)) and reset the browser. No Adgaurd in the latest version, mini toolbar turned off, page zoom is at 125%

Will use for a couple of days and let you know.

I am inclined to say it has something to do with the graphics / renderer, because I would say it happens more with websites that have more media, and resizing Orion on those websites (but also otherwise) is significantly slower (than on Safari/Chromium e.g.)

@dino in my case disabling the AdGaurd plugin made the problem go away. Hope this provides detail for yuour debugging.
