My Orion RC session is now freezing on startup. It tries to restore my previous session and then goes into a spinning wheel. There doesn't seem to be a way to stop it short of deleting it's preferences/etc folder as it never gives control back to me (e.g. I can't even get to About much less New Profile or Reset Orion).
This session is a little large but was working reasonably well earlier today. It does try to use quite a bit of RAM but does not actually use all of it (I have 16GB and Activity Monitor shows ~ 14GB across Memory Used and Cache Files after this Orion session loads/freezes). It's not chewing CPU time either (almost no CPU associated with Orion processes in Activity Monitor).
I do have a log file from starting Orion RC from the command-line. I would prefer not to post it publicly as it shows details from my restoring session though there's nothing really personal other than the newspaper and government articles I last had open. Let me know beset way to share it.
As a side note, the log file does show quite a bit of odd behavior and some opportunities for improvement. For example, it seems to be touching CloudKit for each window/tab even though I have all iCloud-related stuff disabled both system-wide and within Orion. Also multiple messages like this, "Context leak detected, msgtracer returned -1".
Note this freezing originally started under a previous RC -- ~ June 30 2025 RC -- and I went back to the RC installer to download this month's latest RC only to continue to experience the same freezing.
Ideally of course I could just resume in my previously working session without deleting my old session and loosing what are essentially my active research and reading todo list.
