Using preview window when Orion isn't the default browser

Hi, i am using the app OpenIn (similar apps: Velja, BrowserFairy, Choosy) to route certain URLs to other browsers, so OpenIn is set as my default browser, not Orion.

As fast as i can tell, the tab preview feature currently does not work with this setup, it always opens in the main browser.

tafkafkaf This is unfortunately not possible, as macOS automatically routes URLs to your default browser. The Orion preview relies on handling a message from that routing to override the normal Orion window getting focused (and adding a tab), so it only works when Orion is your default browser

Is a routing (similar to Arc's Air Traffic Control Feature) planned?

tafkafkaf We don't have a specific plan for that capability. Currently we have the setting in Settings -> General -> Open external links in to choose a profile, as well as the capability to move tabs to different windows or different profiles.

So something like what Arc does there would be possible. Please feel free to make a separate Suggestion post for this feature
