Dear Orion team,
I know this question has been asked time and again on the forums, always with some catch and no reproduction. Not to put all the blame on the posters - I also saw Vlad receive a video of stuttering, and pretend there is no stuttering, so the blame is on both sides.
This time I wanted to take things differently...
The question is NOT whether Orion can fix it - instead, I'd like to hear if there is any hope at all, anything Orion can actually do to make it better through flag manipulation or settings we have no access to? In other words, is there a hope that stuttering will ever be solved - short of rewriting WebKit in Rust yourselves. 😃

- This is a WebKit issue, through and through. In fact, the same issue exists on Firefox and Zen. Only Chromium does this correctly.
- It is very replicable, in all browsers.
- I purposefully uploaded a sketchy zip of the video, because the stuttering is gentle, and becomes invisible when posted on the forum or youtube. I will delete the zip a week or two from now.
- I am on a trackpad, on MBP13 with 120fps, and the 120fps feature flag. Both browsers score 120fps on ufo.
- The video showcases a comparison between Chromium (Dia Alpha) and Orion, when scrolling a news article, on a popular, high quality website without ads. The second, Orion section (you'll recognize it by the bugged tab count khm khm) clearly displays stuttering while scrolling, especially when coming across places with lots of images, such as the transition to recommended articles section, once the main content finishes.
