YouTube videos only load h264 codec now. I want to watch vp9 versions too, like on safari and other browsers.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution to offer as the team is still looking into the issue.
For what it's worth, the picture I posted earlier was taken on my M1 MacBook Air so the issue isn't exclusive to any specific Apple Silicon generation.

Adding another voice to the choir here, I’m also being hit by the same bug. No vp9 available in Orion, but HDR/high res available in Safari and SigmaOS (both Webkit based).

I'm experiencing the same thing on my M4 MacBook Pro. Nothing above 1080p, no HDR as well.

M4 MBA user here. Facing the same issue. Loved everything so far about the browser but this one nuisance is stopping me from defaulting to orion. There's another bug of double clicking on a piece of text selects one line extra.

I have requested an ETA from the team. Based on our testing, the WebKit version bump in the next release should fix this issue. You can expect to see it in the near future.

laiz Thanks for the quick response. I'd really appreciate the resolution fix, and as for the selection of the extra line, it's nothing deal breaking tbh. More like a weird quirk I'd say. Here's how it looks on orion when I triple tap on the text -

The issue persists on Safari as well btw. The nuisance of it is that while pasting the text somewhere I'll need to press backspace a couple of times to get rid of the extra line breaks. Not sure if I should report a bug for this?
