I have the same issue on Sequoia. I can watch 4k videos via Safari but not on Orion. It's very annoying. Don't know why. Anyone figure this out?

Confirmed issue is present on Sequoia. Issue goes away when I download prior .133 build. Hopefully this is patched soon. I confirmed Safari Preview also shows 4k, so this is Orion specific issue.

Has anyone tried changing the "User Agent" setting to Safari.

Clicking on the Gear on the site, switch from Automatic to Safari.

Yt show quality options only up to 1080p 60fps and show no HDR, bug does not persist in Safari, I have fresh Orion install with 3 addons (7tv ublock origin and proton pass)

I would like to watch youtube in higher resolutions, compatibility mode doesn't help, issue still persist

While on youtube.com use the site settings "gear" switch the "user agent" setting from Automatic to Safari.

Already did this, but I found out that youtube is using avc1 instead of vp9.

I've pasted this command to the browser's console, it should gave some output, but it's empty so it suggests that vp9 isn't supported?

Just fired up vanilla Orion 134 and tried to play a 4K60 HDR video on YouTube. It seems to play fine with VP9 for me

Very strange, I'm using Orion RC 134 Beta. I'm able to get higher resolutions.

Initially, when it was set to Automatic, nothing was greater than 1080p. Now I get 4k.

@Nexis yep, you're on the latest.

I can confirm that I can recreate this issue on Orion 134 on my M1 MacBook Air running macOS 26 beta. On my M4 iMac, Orion plays 4K just fine via VP9.
