Please add an option to keep text in the address bar left-aligned. Small and silly as it is, this is still one of my top annoyances in Safari years after it was introduced. While I understand what Apple’s aiming for when combining it with reducing the URL to just a partial domain name, I still find Chrome’s approach easier, clearer, faster, and more predictable, especially when set to display the full URL, which Orion defaults to.

Either add an address bar text alignment option in settings, add a setting accessed by right clicking the address bar, or add a setting accessed via the “customize toolbar” screen.

I'm not sure if this is a webkit specific thing, but would it be possible to have an option to treat the URL "normally." That is, to remove the centred "inactive" state.

I often edit the URL on some sites and it's quite annoying to have to first click it and wait for it to animate into a clickable textbox before I can start highlighting. I'd love to be able to just start highlighting from the first click.

    Thanks so much!

sodapopcan Hey, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. What kind of tabs configuration are you using? Compacts, normals, or verticals?

        Hello!

I'm using vertical showing the full URL. Currently when you're browser, the URL is centred in the box. Upon clicking it, it slides to the left and then becomes editable. It would be nice if it just acted like it did in FF or Chrome where it's always on the left and immediately editable without having to click first.

It's not an urgent request or anything, but it's just something that's always driven me nuts about Safari.

Merged 4 posts from "Normal" URL bar.
