I have done a test on https://coveryourtracks.eff.org , https://privacytests.org and found the quality of tracking prevention great.
However I would like Orion to take this a step further, to ensure the privacy of its users.
Following things can be considered:
- Amount of Extensions a User has
- MAC Address and IP are additionally a security risk
- Rotating User Agent (Orion should rotate User Agent on its own)
- HTTP ACCEPT_HEADERS (can be used to find out the origin country of a user if not English)
- Browser Plugin Details (fairly unique for Orion and can be used to identify a user)
- Time Zone and Time Zone Offset (can be used to find out a users location)
- Screen Size and Color Depth (can be used to identify the device)
- System Fonts (can be used to identify a device)
- Supercookies (Super cookies track your web activity, including visited sites and time spent. They can access data from traditional cookies, even after deletion.)
- Hash of Canvas Fingerprint (can be used to identify a device)
- Hash of WebGL Fingerprint (can be used to identify a device)
- WebGL Vendor & Renderer (used to identify a device)
- Language (can be used to identify a user)
- Platform (can be used to identify a device)
- Touch Support (can identify a mobile)
- AudioContext Fingerprint (used to identify a user)
- Hardware Concurrency (can be used to identify a user)
Using all this information together can be used to specify where a user is from and fundamentally used to track a user. It would be great if measures can be taken to rotate following information in addition to an Ad Blocker and VPN.
This site here tracks a user and is used by major companies such as Binance. Unfortunately the trackers aren't blocked by default. https://fingerprint.com
