Hi Team,

I lost all my tabs & saved windows. I am writing to request your assistance in retaining the tabs that were lost after updating my browser. It took me a significant amount of time to organize all the tabs, and now that I have updated the browser, everything has been lost again.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me restore the tabs so that I can continue with my work without losing valuable time. Thank you for your support.

After the update as it asks to quit & reopen, I just expected it to do that & reopen with all the saved tabs and windows, but it didn't.

    Hey! Thanks for the report. Indeed, it looks like there is something wrong with the latest version as you aren't the first one to mention this issue. The team is looking into it.

    At this point I am afraid I don't have much to offer in terms of recovering those tabs.

    Same here. Wiping the saved windows from two different profile instances is not cool. 🙁

      Oh, god. That means there's no way to back it up. I'm doomed. This was the only browser I loved soo much.

        dino, It looks like the "Saved Windows" came back for my Personal profile (synced via iCloud). The second profile that I use for work is dead and gone - no saved windows are restored even after relaunching or using the older beta.

        Not sure if it's related to iCloud sync or not. Considering that disabling iCloud sync is a solution for a different problem I'm having, I'm glad I didn't switch it off!

            Not to muddy the waters, but when I upgraded to the RC version last week, all my OLD windows appear and I had to re-delete the old ones to get back to my core set. (When I had originally imported my stuff from Arc, I got a tone of fragmented duplicate windows and cleaned them up). If this is not relevant, please ignore 🙂

            This is a huge loss to me as I had both work and personal profiles with extensive saved window groups. I did not know that I should have been backing those up and I don't use any sync services across devices.

            In a total coincidence, Firefox 137 (beta) released tab groups today so I'll switch my work profile back to Firefox (as I have IAM issues for AWS/Azure consoles on Orion)
