Zotero extension does not work

Zotero extension does not work, exactly the same as in this old report: https://orionfeedback.org/d/785-zotero-extension-doesnt-work

Clicking the extension icon does nothing, tried on a number of different pages (generic webpages, journal articles, etc.)

Both links on its options page are also unresponsive.

Steps to replicate:
1.

Download Zotero plug-in for Chrome
Go to a page you want to save to Zotero
Left-click on the Save To Zotero button

Right-click on the Save To Zotero button
Select Options
Click on 'General' or 'Advanced'

Zotero should open a drop-down menu confirming the save to Zotero.
The options page should actually have settings

Thanks a lot! I got the same issue. I have to go back to Firefox/chrome because of this Zotero extension.

PengtaoDang I've actually realised that the Firefox version works, at least for now. Chrome version is still broken. Have you tried both?

Hey, can anyone help? I don't see it in the Firefox store through Orion? It's not working for me either in the Chrome store. I've disabled all my other extensions, uninstalled and reinstalled numberous times, and restarted my device. I can't get the Chrome extension to work nor add it from Firefox. 🙁 This is essential for me.

MK2025 Thank you! I didn't have it 3rd party Firefox extension enabled in my advanced settings. Quick question: Are Zotero results in a random order for you (not matching the page?). One thing I want to report with the Zotero Firefox Extension is that it seems to cause Orion to become laggy after days.

Previously I after found that problem, this post (https://orionfeedback.org/d/3088-after-1-2-days-orion-becomes-very-sluggish) suggests that it may be the extensions issue, so I disabled all extensions and Orion didn't get laggy. Then, I uninstalled the Zotero Firefox version and installed Chrome version (for I thought it might have higher compatibility); Orion then worked smoothly for days until I found that the Chrome version does not work. Then after I switched back to Firefox version, Orion starts to be laggy soon. The behavior is that opening new window through cmd+n takes _1s every time, and right click -> open in new tab sometimes takes _1s or even _5s to respond.

So, to summarize, all extension disabled -> good, only Zotero Chrome extension -> no lag but no zotero, only Zotero Firefox extension -> lag. I would really appreciate it if that could be resolved.
