JSiuDev The current sidebar button has a # tab attached to it and takes up lot of space in the tab bar. Can we have a version without the # tab portion? Or an option in the context menu to hide that part?
JSiuDev Oh, that is actually the Window button. Why sidebar and window buttons are stick together? Shouldn't they be 2 standalone buttons?
eirk JSiuDev THey're together because when you open the sidebar, the title is integrated into the sidebar rather than shown in the toolbar.
JSiuDev eirk But the sidebar is also for bookmark, tabs, read list, etc. IMHO, it is not logical to stick them together, and this is adding complexity in state management. I already file one bug.
Yannick I find the current setup very confusing and I think we will revisit this in the near future. I agree with you as well @JSiuDev. I'm closing the ticket for practical reasons.
JSiuDev Yannick Agree. Though I have some thoughts on the relationship between sidebar, vertical tab, horizontal tab. But Iet focus on breaking bugs and other high profile bugs for now.
