Yannick You are a Product Manager for Orion, and don't have access to the most recent RC build? That is...shocking

@Vlad can you take a look at this issue...

Anon I have indeed managed to reproduce the bug.

I think some of the wonkiness is related to the "Close window with last tab" setting being turned off.

When it is off, closing a tab sometimes results in these weird nested duplicates being created:

Yannick Oh... I think it's new. Is it somehow related to this?

Yes. That looks like the same issue.

Merged 13 posts from Vertical tabs disappear / vertical tab toolbar becomes corrupted when closing a tab and then undoing the close.

I encounter this bug a number of times daily. It's very annoying. I hope this can be fixed ASAP.

nrudnyk this issue has never had a particularly consistent repro for me, but I'll try to main this build for the next few days and see if I run into the issue again or not

I tried out the build and, sadly, this issue still reproduces. I'll attach screenshots so you can see the exact settings I used. To repro, I went to YouTube, Command-clicked to open a bunch of videos in tabs, and then, starting from the bottom of the list of tabs, start playing a video, then close the tab with Command-W. After a few tabs, I start to see the weird nested vertical tabs.

@wincent thanks for the info. The build I've shared from 12 days ago was still affected.

However we found a reproduce as well as a fix and it's now live in latest beta v132

Please try it out and let us know.

Wasn't able to repro just now in a quick test of v132. If I see it again I'll report back.
