The entire analytics.google.com web page is broken with the built-in content blocker enabled

Yes it is an analytics domain, but I would expect a website to not be blocked from accessing itself

Turn off Content Blockers for the site?

From the dev side, it should be solved with:
    ||analytics.google.com^$domain=~ analytics.google.com

And we may need to create an exception rule first for what’s causing this already.

To the best of my knowledge, it's the first thing Google (and Bing and Meta) ask: disable ad blockers that prevent the tools from functioning properly. And I advise you to disable them on these sites.

analytics.google.com works fine in these configurations:

      • Safari + Wipr
      • Chrome + ubo (default lists)

It's definitely an issue specific to Orion's built in content blocker

        Rexios
doesn't surprise me that google analytics works in chrome with the nerfed version of ubo though, I don't know wipr so I can't speak about it...
sorry but if a tracker and content blocker doesn't block google analytics I don't what is useful for.
what is the problem of excluding that specific website in the content blocker settings?

          Rexios
sorry, I don't meant to be rude.
to my knowledge there are two types of content blockers:

          1. real content blockers who prevents ads and trackers from loading

          2. fake content blockers who loads ads and trackers but doesn't display them to you

now, real ubo on firefox, adguard, Orion's content blocker, and maybe some others that I don't know, are in the first group.

the nerfed version of ubo, (probably) wipr and A LOT of others minor content blockers are in the second group.

It also works in Firefox + UBO is that a real enough ad-blocking solution for you?

is this broken? sorry I don't use google and just created an acconu to try out...
three different config between Orion RC and Orion Beta with easylist and Adguard filterlists...
              can you share yuour configuration?

so I was wrong: analytics.google.com works in orion with content blocker enambled

there's a weird thing if you try from mobile though.
if you write in the address bar analytics.google.com it defaults to http://analytics.google.com resulting in "Orion cannot reach this page"

edit: just change http with https and it works in mobile too

The issue is with actually loading properties

                      Rexios
can you please share your configuration of filterlists and steps to reproduce?

It’s the default filter lists for the built in Orion content blocker…

I don't have a business to register so cannot go further and find the page you are talking about, sorry

You should be able to easily create a project on https://console.firebase.google.com, link it to your analytics account, and then go view it. The Firebase console analytics pages also have the same content blocking issue.

sorry but is firebase and not analytics.google.com?
please exact steps to reproduce the issue like the bug report form asks or simply disable adblocker for this site until the problem get resolved.
many times happen your personal issue is unintentionally resolved while the devs squash other non related bugs and develop other things, happened to me has well.
If this report get many upvotes then you know it'll be worked out

chorizo I literally gave steps to reproduce the issue in my previous comment. If you aren't going to add constructive commentary to this issue, please stop responding.
