Having used Profiles in Safari, it came as some surprise to me that profiles in Orion are as aggressively sandboxed as they are: separate extensions, bookmarks, even settings.

I can see why such separation is useful for some people but for me (and apparently the folks at Apple?), separate cookies and per-profile bookmark folders are enough.

I mostly use Profiles because I log into different sets of accounts for work, home, and social media. But I’ll always want the same set of bookmarks, extensions, and other settings. Having some way of supporting a more unified workflow would be appreciated.

Oh and mobile support too.

Really, TBH, I think Apple nailed it the profile feature specifically.

    I agree 100% with this....I just want to segregate my web URLs, but keep extensions, password, etc, unified.

      I understand your needs 100%. But as you said @bouncing, everyone's needs are different.

      We started Orion in the way you hoped to use it, but our early users quickly came with concerns about privacy.
      We then made this decision, and we like the fact that each profile is an independent user, whether physical or virtual.
