Currently, there is no character count for the post title. This is somewhat annoying since you have to either guess how many characters you need to remove to reach 80 characters or use an external tool to count the number of characters. There should be a little counter below the title that says "x/80 characters" or something similar like in the attached pic. Perhaps there could also be a feature where the title text field turns red to show to you that you're over the character count.
The second suggestion is that the body text of the post should be able to be modified after attempting to submit with a title over 80 characters. Currently, the body becomes greyed out and is non-modifiable. The body text should be able to be changed right up until the end and submitting. Sometimes I proofread my post again after fixing my title to 80 characters and want to change something in the body but can't. I understand if this isn't possible because of a limitation or something, but it would be nice to have consistent editing behavior.
