ASCII rendering broken on the Tabliss extension (CRX/XPI)

ASCII characters don't render correctly on the tabliss extension (chrome and firefox version) since the latest beta release. Compatibility mode breaks the extension completely.

For the ASCII characters to render correctly.

1. install the tabliss extension, chrome or firefox version
2. add widgets like weather or quotes
