Fairly simple, when i call up the tab overview (Shift-Cmd-\ ), pinned tabs show an 'x' and can be closed like any other. I accidentally closed several pinned tabs I wanted to keep in an effort to do some general cleanup. I am scrambling to try and recreate them, remember which tabs were there and re-load and re-pin them.

Pictor What is the bug being reported?

The fact I was allowed to close it.

If you just load a pinned tab normally, and just hit Cmd-W to close the tab, it doesn't actually disappear as a pinned tab. However in the overview, if I click that X, I lose my pinned tab.

It should either just not have an 'x' close option, or it should have it, but the effect should just be to unload it, not to actually delete the pinned tab

Pinned tabs are pinned...they should survive typical acts of closure.

Pictor Hm they dont sruvive closure when you close them on the tab bar. Perhaps we should show them separately in tab overview instead?

Perhaps. The biggest issue I had is that they just looked lumped in with everything else. If you had the "Pinned" section, and the rest below a divider or something, it would at least be very clear.

Also I have noted this elsewhere, but if there was a "Close all" button or something below the pinned tabs (both in the overview, and the left side bar), that would be really super useful.

Also "they dont sruvive closure when you close them on the tab bar" .. they don't have an 'x' button in the tab bar, that's the difference. It invites easy closure. As a tab, you have to right click and specifically select "Close tab", making it quite deliberate. I sometimes bulk close tabs by hovering over the 'x' button clicking, and when another falls into the same position, just clicking again, since I am already on the 'x'. I have done this sometimes to rapidly close large numbers of tabs (since there is no 'close all')

So my issue is mainly how easy it is to do by accident, and destroy a block of pinned tabs you meant to keep.
