Safari has the downloads section in Website Settings. Orion doesn't. It should be added.

Downloads controls site specific preferences, whether to allow, ask, or deny downloads.

One of these is easy to do (downloads) the other not. Marrying both in the same card may make the card resolve very far in the future. it is always recommended to split the features.

Vlad changed the title to Downloads website setting .

Some websites initiate weird downloads without proper user interaction. It would be great to have the same modal/popup as safari that asks you if you wanna permit a website to download. Maybe it's already on your roadmap. Another aspect is that the popup should appear once per domain so that you are not asked over and over, just the first time.

Heck I just thought of this but it would also be cool if the popup had a checkbox that says "ask again next time []" but who knows how useful this actually is.

          Thanks

eirk Yes, this is exactly the functionality I am talking about
TheUser1 Can you confirm this is the same feature you are looking for?

My first recommendation for this wonderful project:

In Safari a user can prevent downloads from happening until that person decides to push "Allow" downloads from this website. I'd like to see this similar behavior inside of Orion! I think the big reason to do so is it prevents accidental downloads of say malicious software and also allows you to have a little more control of what is downloaded on the web. I also think this is another great security tip to prevent any websites from just downloading anything.

what for? you download something, only to have it deleted after, what purpose does that serve?
