I found workarounds

1. Download the latest release of Chromium Web Store

2. In Advanced preferences, Make sure "Allow installation of 3rd party Chrome extensions" is checked:

   

3. Click on "Manage Extensions..." to bring up the extensions manager

   

4. Click on "Add Extension" -> "Install from Disk..."

   

5. Select the Chromium.Web.Store.crx that you downloaded in step 1

   

6. Click "Add"

   

7. Now go to chrome web store and try to download the extension you want

If that doesn't work (it stopped working for me after I removed extensions to take those screenshots) then try this:

1. Find a way to download this Get CRX extension (I read the source code to make sure there are no ads or tracking)

   • such as:
     dijpllakibenlejkbajahncialkbdkjc-1-51-0-0.zip

     8kB

2. Use that extension to download the CRX files for any extension you want to install

   

3. Install from disk

   

If install from disk stops working, then delete the CRX file from your Mac and then use Orion to download it again. For some reason this happens and downloading the file again with Orion fixes it.

laiz This doesn't seem to explain why sometimes "install from disk" stops working, but I guess that would be a separate bug report.

If you press download, it will pop up as if it's down for 0.1 seconds, and then the download icon disappears.
And The original box only has a round-shaped loading sign..
(Even through I turned on the chrome extension in the settings)

Plz fix it……
