  • 1Password extension has a connection problem with the desktop app

  • BugsDesktopDone

Hi.
I was browsing the 1Password settings and noticed that when I access the settings in Orion, 1Password indicates there is a connection problem with the desktop app. I don't seem to have this issue on Safari.
I'm not sure what the implications are, but I wanted to bring this to your attention as a possible option for future issues.

The connection indicator to be green

@Vlad Maybe If this can't be done when installing the extension, after installing the extension, show some sort of message requesting that this be done manually.

If we're on the topic of what can be done better, I'd like to say:

    • I appreciate your and everyone’s willingness to ask for and accept feedback.
    • The browser may still be buggy, but your lightning-fast response and ability to take quick action are very impressive and professional. It makes it easy and enjoyable to participate in this journey to make it the best browser out there (it definitely has the potential to be the best by a long shot).

I do not like this as it adds even more work for our small team. And it makes certain extensions 'special'. Obviously 1password should the better job here informing the user somehow - perhaps asking them to make changes is more productive?

        Yeah, good point.
Yeah asking them to make changes would obviously be the ideal solution.
I can't think of other solutions, but if I do I'll share them.
At least now there's this ticket so that if others encounter this and search for a solution, they will have this ticket for refference.
Maybe change the title of this ticket to something that reflects this particular issue?
