Inconsistent picture in picture behavior

When switching tabs with a mouse, everything works as expected. When switching with a keyboard shortcut (CMD+OPT+Right), the preview is tiny inside of a black box. See attached video.

I did not have a keyboard overlay, but in case the video is confusing... At 0:01 I pressed CMD+OPT+Right to switch to youtube tab. The picture-in-picture window showed up in the right bottom corner. The actual preview was a small fraction of the PIP box. Most of the PIP box itself was black. At 0:03 I pressed CMD+OPT+Left to go back to the video's tab. At 0:05 I clicked on the youtube tab with the mouse. PIP preview appreared up as it should. Then I switched back with the mouse and switched back and forth with the keyboard again.

Hi @woolly, thanks for reporting this.

I've looked into it and it's definitely a thing. However at this time it behaves exactly the same as in Safari when Option is held. Please see the following recording:

Moreover, when Shift is held - it animates much slower than usual.

Safari might improve or fix that WebKit behavior in future, or even we might find some solution for that.
However I'm going to mark as NoFix for now, since there's not much we can do about it at the moment.
