  1. Open article or other text-heavy webpage likely to be used with Reader Mode.

  2. Move cursor to left side of Address Bar so that Reader Mode icon appears; select Reader Mode.

    • Reader Mode icon changes color slightly when clicked as it does normally when selected.
      • Webpage does not enter Reader Mode.

  3. Move cursor to Reader Mode button pinned in Tool Bar; select Reader Mode button.

    • Webpage enters Reader Mode as expected.
      • After using pinned Reader Mode button, Reader Mode icon in Address Bar functions as expected.

Note: Removing non-native extensions does not affect issue.

Reader Mode icon in Address Bar should work consistently. It is nicer to have a context-dependent, there-when-you-need-it-gone-when-you-don't UI. Unfortunately the inconsistency of the context-depenedent Reader Mode button in the Address Bar makes a pinned Reader Mode button feel better to use.

    A video of this issue would be extremely helpful as I was not able to reproduce the issue.
