Steps:

  1. enable horizontal tabs.
  2. open a new window. open a few tabs
  3. open another window. open a few more tabs. observe that these tabs have a weird animation (look closely at the tab bar)

see video:

the animation should never be wonky

Sequoia (15)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm unable to reproduce this. Are you on Sequoia 15.2 beta?

Yes. I can also still reproduce on the latest version.

      Version 0.99.129.1.1-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)
      Build date Nov 7 2024
MacBook Pro (macOS Sequoia 15.2 beta build 24C5073e)

        Here is a video:

throughout the entire duration of the video, I'm holding down cmd, and repeatedly pressing t or n

          Thanks for the extra detail!

So to confirm this is specific to the Sequoia 15.2 beta only right, i.e not reproducible on Sequoia (15.1 or below) public releases?

I'm trying to establish whether this is beta specific, as sometimes bugs occur due to AppKit framework changes in beta versions, and then resolve themselves when Apple ship the release candidate.

It could be. I think I originally reported while on this same mac version. Not 100% sure though.

I do know that other apps (coteditor, safari) dont have this issue, as they don't customize the tab bar

the issue stems from the fact orion is customizing the toolbar to make it have rounded corners.
