ducan-ne I think it's hard as chrome.debugger is using Chrome Devtool Protocol but as an author of a Chrome Extension highly use chrome.debugger for automation, I'd try to raise the bar to see if after a few years we can make it possible 😁
ducan-ne (side note) if possible, I'd love to use workaround for this, for example, if chrome.x apis is open source I'd try to make a puppeteer server and send CDP request to pptr websocket server
