Dynamically changed HTML theme color sometimes not updating background color in toolbar

Website starts with the following theme color:

<meta name="theme-color" content="#ffffff">

then switching to #a6a6a6 dynamically (e.g because of showing throbber) works, but back to #ffffff is broken.

If theme color is changed dynamically (e.g. by Javascript), toolbar should be always updated as well.

Vlad If you load the HTML in Safari, pressing the button toggles the html background of web page and the background of toolbar. In Orion, only the background web page changes, not toolbar.
