When in a video conference (like Google Meet) and an iPhone is functioning as a continuity camera the video conferencing features in the system menu bar do not show up. The green video button unlocks iPhone camera controls for Center Stage, Portrait, Studio Light, Reactions, Backgrounds, and Desk Video.
In all other browsers I have tried (Safari, Chrome, Arc, Firefox, Zen Browser) these video controls automatically show up when the iPhone is selected as a camera.
As a workaround, it is possible to open the FaceTime app to reveal these video conferencing controls to make changes that feed into the Orion video feed. FaceTime can be closed after settings are adjusted to taste.
Steps to reproduce:
- Setup an iPhone as a continuity camera. Follow this guide.
- In Orion, open a meeting in Google Meet.
- Select the iPhone as the desired camera.
- Notice the green video menu icon doesn't show up.
