Visited the following sub-reddit where they have a Gif file for their "profile" picture:
https://www.reddit.com/r/diabetes/
The gif is shown on the root page of the sub-reddit, and at the top of each post, as well as up in the search field.
When viewing the gif file in any of the places (start page, top of the post pages, or the search field) it's a high probability (somewhere between 1/3 to 1/2 chance) the gif file starts flashing/blinking with unexpected color (the erroneous color is however somewhat consistent). This is consistent between Mac mini + MacBook, in "normal" browsing and in private browsing, and no difference in compatibility mode.
Visiting any of the same pages showing the gif with Safary consistently renders the gif animation correctly.
Attached you have a gif (of the gif, just to make it more meta) captured using LICEcap where you can see me reloading the first post page on the sub-reddit a few times. As you can see, the larger version of the gif at the top of content is a little more prone to rendering incorrectly, but even the gif at the top in the search field can be spotted (even at the low frame rate) to give some unexpected artefacts.

I expected Orion to render the gif animation cleanly, consistently on every load.
