No Webauthn prompt for YubiKey with Bitwarden Extension installed

I get no prompts to use my YubiKey in Orion, with the Bitwarden extension enabled. After running into it on a few sites (Google Cloud, Proton) I've been testing with https://webauthn.me. On Safari I get a prompt that allows me to choose "other options" and select my hardware YubiKey when on the "Touch Your Authenticator" step of registering. In Orion I get no prompt and my YubiKey doesn't flash. This is on a fresh MacOS install.

Disabling the Bitwarden extension allows for a prompt that allows using the hardware security key.

Reproduction steps:

install orion
install bitwarden extension from the "popular extensions" menu
insert a yubikey or other hardware key
try to register on https://webauthn.me

A prompt to touch the hardware key to appear.

I think this is linked to https://orionfeedback.org/d/3025-support-passkeys as Orion doesn't "do" passkeys right now, although it can do non-resident WebAuthn.

It does seem like it's related, because in Firefox the default Bitwarden setting makes Bitwarden pop up asking if you want to use a passkey (even if you don't have any) before letting Firefox/the OS ask you to press your hardware key.

The workaround for me so far has been to disable the default Bitwarden extension setting of "Settings -> Notifications -> Ask to save and use passkeys".
