Some tabs left open for a while in the background like Discord or Outlook, which I have pinned, get stuck and pin a single core to 100% usage. On Discord this happens after a few hours/days. With Outlook it consistently happens after only a few hours.

Could you check how Safari handles those sites?
laiz Interesting. Seems like it's a Safari issue too. Doesn't pin the core at 100%, but is still way too high for a background tab doing nothing.

Thank you for checking. This matches my experience with Microsoft pages — poor performance and heavy resource usage for no reason whatsoever. Very frustrating on a WebKit browser. I am not sure if there is much Orion devs are able to do as the issues seem to stem from MS not caring.
This is something that could be reported to https://bugs.webkit.org
It doesn't only happen with MS sites tho. Orion feedback is a particularly good example as this tab acts up almost immediately.

Huh, I have never noticed that but indeed the CPU usage spikes for me as well. Up to 180% when typing this message. There is definitely something off.
