Use Orion for a while. ⌥⌘◀︎ and ⌥⌘▶︎ shortcuts to move to the previous/next tab doesn't work.

I tried:

  • Tried executing cmd+option+⌥⌘◀︎ and ⌥⌘▶︎ without additional settings - it didn't work
  • Add app shortcuts in System Pref > Keyboards > Shortcut to those keys - it didn't work
Setting app shortcuts to ⌥⌘[ or ⌥⌘] does work.
  • The shortcuts seem to work When multiple start pages are open, but not when URLs are loaded.

Here is video screen record to show how things look on my end.

Expected behavior:
⌥⌘◀︎ and ⌥⌘▶︎ shortcuts continue to work.

Orion Version 0.99.128.2.1-rc (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)
macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
MacBook Air M3 (13-inch, 2024)

I believe cmd-alt-left/right, along with cmd-shift-[/] are shortcuts that exist without being in the menu bar. maybe something broke there.

ctrl-tab and ctrl-shift-tab should always work though

In the meantime, I'm using cmd-shift-[/], but it would be nice to use cmd+option+⌥⌘◀︎ as I usually do.
      As shown, cmd-alt-left/right doesn't work.

All three sets of shortcuts work for me.

Do you perhaps have any apps installed that might be preventing these shortcuts from working? Do these shortcuts work in other browsers, especially safari?

Does this happen in a new blank profile, or just this one?

I can't think of any app that might be using the shortcuts. If you have a way to check that, LMK.
In the meantime, as you can see in the following video, those shortcuts work in Safari.

It's been awhile since I've used Orion and this forum, but this issue is similar to one that I had last year (albeit with older versions). I can confirm that this is the only app on my mac with the issue, so there should be no shortcut conflicts with other apps.

I understand that the team is swamped with tons of requests, so I'm only posting this here to serve as additional input/data. Feel free to mark both Roy's post and mine when fixed.

@RoyHenEngel Could you please remove the prev/next shortcuts from System Settings → App Shortcuts?

I want to ensure it doesn't interfere with the built-in hidden menu item.

Also, I'm wondering if you did anything specific to reproduce this issue. Thanks!
