Webkit PDF renderer crashes when zooming using trackpad

Steps to reproduce:

Disable Experimental > PDF.js viewer
Open any PDF, even local files work for this
Zoom using cmd +/- (everything fine)
Zoom using two fingers on Mac trackpad → process crashes

Explanation of screen recording:

Zoom in PDF.js using +/-
Zoom in PDF.js using trackpad
Switch to Webkit PDF viewer, reload page
Zoom using ⌘ +/- (on keyboard, but the toolbar buttons would work too) → fine
Zoom using trackpad → process crashes
+ 7. repeat process for demo purposes

Not shown in the video, but this also happens when in compatibility mode on a website-hosted PDF, so not related to extensions I'd assume.

Either zooming method should work or at the very least, not crash the renderer process but be ignored instead.

Since this very well might be a Webkit/OS version dependent thing, I will report back whenever I upgrade to the latest macOS version (has been planned anyways for in a week or two), or someone else on Sonoma could test it.
