I routinely use it in Firefox, and it would be handy if Orion had it as well.
Avoozl Please explain what it does and cmd opt t does nothing for me in Firefox?
Vlad It's not active in Firefox by default - you have to manually define it in Tree Style Tab's preferences.
The shortcut allows you to create a new tab that is a child of the current tab.
I like the idea of this. In horizontal mode it would also open the tab next to current tab (as its child) instead of the end of the list.
However my biggest issue with this is discoverability. How would users know this is possible?
Vlad Just add a menu item called "New Child Tab" next to "New Tab". That would make it easy to discover.
In Firefox, you can't use that shortcut unless the Tree Style Tab extension is active. Even if the sidebar isn't visible, the shortcut acts as if it were.
@Avoozl btw what happens in FF when you use this option in horizontal tab mode?
It can also confuse a user new to Orion as it will not be immediately clear what is the difference to "New Tab"
