Facebook JavaScript share bookmarklet is stuck in refresh loop.

You can have a bookmarklet on your bookmark bar to instantly share the current page to Facebook. It is malfunctioning only on the new Orion and not on any other browsers.

You can see the code for it at https://www.facebook.com/share_options.php .

Simply supposed to open the share dialogue on Facebook, instead, it just keeps refreshing.

Version 0.99.128-beta (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2) on latest Sonoma 14.6

Latest version of Orion now gets this message from Facebook instead of the refresh loop:
"this browser is not supported. Tap to use a supported browser", with images of chrome, Firefox, and edge. Unfortunately, it appears I can't attach an image or screenshot to this post.

Just did a little more research and found that if I switched the user agent in the develop menu to Chrome, it actually works! Apparently, Facebook is blocking Orion from being able to use the share bookmarklet, for whatever reason. Maybe because they have a product called Orion?

DanielStripedTiger They are maybe not blocking Orion, but just choosing to support only three browsers on the planet. Glad you find the setting though, Orion is full of surprises 🙂
