Depends on the extension, certain Chrome extensions work better in Orion compared to Firefox Add-ons and vice versa.

I hope Apple Passwords integration will ever make it into Orion. The iCloud Passwords extension from Chrome/Firefox store doesn't work anymore with Orion and it's a total blocker for me.

I would even go so far as to recommend to replace the native Orion Password manager with default Apple Passwords integration, which enables also automatic sync of passwords to all iDevices. Orion is a Mac browser after all and there is not so much a reason to re-invent the wheel in my opinion.

The iCloud Passwords extension broke on macOS Sequoia 18.4 but is now working again in macOS 18.5, I am using it right now:

I don't think syncing iCloud passwords natively without the extension between Orion's Keychain and iCloud Keychain is possible. Vlad said that "Apple does not allow apps writing in each other's keychain. Orion can not write in keychain used by Safari and vice versa." in this thread:

louis77 This. I love the seamless integration of Apple Passwords into Safari and how convenient it is to use. Also the Apple Passwords app itself is great. Not being able to conveniently use it with Orion is really unfortunate to say at least.

Yeah, Apple Passwords with Orion feels clunky and broken at this point, and I tried all different combinations of settings and extensions.

Hopefully this gets implemented soon. It's pretty much the only reason I don't use Orion. It's too painful to use Passwords with Orion on macOS.

I guess I don't understand the issue on why this hasn't gotten implemented yet because it works perfectly on the iOS version of Orion. Offers the native popup and fill and everything.

The iCloud Passwords extension on macOS is bad and buggy, and I can't switch to Orion until I can use it on all my devices
