  • Orion speedometer 3 score is a lot lower than safari (macos 15)

Running speedometer 3 with compatibility mode on orion have a score of about 21 (14 with ublock turned on) while safari without any extension turned on is around 28-30 on my M1 Ultra. (run on orion is done on clean profile after reinstall)

It seems that biggest difference is when I'm on 2560x1440 HDPI resolution on native (4k) difference is only about 15-20%.


Expect performance to be in range of 5-10%

      Orion (latest RC): 15.77 ± 0.14
      Safari: 19.5 ± 0.39
      Chrome: 18.2 ± 0.60

      running on M1 with latest standard Sonoma.

        New macOS beta version still gave the same results.
