Bitwarden (CWS) doesn't update

Bitwarden doesn't update. Either on auto-update or updating manually.

Install Bitwarden from CWS (Chrome Web Store) (it has to be a lower version though)
Open extensions page
Click update
Notice how Bitwarden doesn't update to new version (2024.5.1 to 2024.5.2)

I can reliably reproduce this on my main profile. I have no idea what's causing it. I disabled other extensions too, restarted, etc.

I expected Bitwarden to update to 2024.5.2 from 2024.5.1 .

i've been getting this bug this rc & last rc where i can't log into bitwarden (cws)¹

try to log into bitwarden (thru extension)
notice how the bitwarden extension gets stuck on verify identity

¹ - this is only through the chrome web store (manifest v3) extension. the firefox extension works as expected, so i switched all my extensions from cws (chrome) to amo (firefox) because mv3 isn't as supported by orion right now.

@Vlad this bug should be renamed bitwarden (cws/chrome/mv3) problems, because its specifically due to mv3
