DaveOrion Yeah I'm anxious for it too. Part of why I switched to Arc so long ago was being able to keep everything on the side; now that it's all but dead, I need an alternative. Orion checks nearly every box and god I'd kill for this as I don't like having the Bookmark bar open, I'd buy both lifetime and make a donation if it meant it'd happen.

alexanderhblack fully agree, Orion is so close. All I'm missing right now is folders and the ability to auto-close tabs but have it keep the folders and pinned.

There is a chrome/edge extension called Auto Tab group, which just picks the domain name of the website and clubs them together with different colour. I love it so much that I went back to edge just to use the same, that extension doesn't work in orion ofc. If we could replicate those or make orion work with it, life would be so much easier. Hope this is coming soon, trying to ditch Arc for something like Orion (or hopefully a WebKit browser) and this is something that would really make the transition easier!

The lack of proper folders and native tab naming continues to be the reason I'm not using Orion regularly. I hope at some point this becomes a reality, it sure seems like there's a lot of user interest.

Hi! I recommend you try this Zen Divider extension! You can rename a tab to whatever name you want and use it as a parent tab. Here it is: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/zendivider/

Just wanted to add, that all what was implemented in Arc is good to have. It just missed the tree tabs support for regular tabs, which we already have there.
So, nested folders for pinned tabs and tree for free\regular tabs is way to go.

Renaming for pinned tabs is must have, as they are actually bookmarks, not real tabs. But as actual tab title has dynamic nature, and changed from page to page, it is good to have some placeholder in name, where we what to put actual page title. Like %s is now implemented in Orion bookmarks for url.
I would like to add prefixes for my working project tabs, for easy recognition, but won't lost what page is actually is open in this pinned tab. For example, tab name: "[QA]: %title%" is expanded to "[QA]: Project Name - Page title".
