Description of the issue:
- On Orion 127.3 create a new profile and install Sponsorblock https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sponsorblock/
- Change some of the settings in Sponsorblock settings:
- Check for Orion-rc updates and install 127.3.1-rc
- Following the successful update, launch Orion rc and go to Sponsorblock settings
- Notice that the settings have reset (presumably due to the addition of browser.storage.sync)
Additional issues:
- I am unable to load my sponsorblock config from a JSON file. It loads "successfully" but none of the settings are added
- I am experiencing similar issues on DeArrow (by the same developer), and if I had to guess there are multiple other extensions also affected.
- If I create additional profiles on 127.3.1 and install Sponsorblock on those, instead of having the default config they will inherit the configuration from my Default profile
Expected behavior:
- The switch to browser.storage.sync from local storage should not wipe the extension settings without warning.
- I should be able to restore my config from a JSON file in Sponsorblock settings (this has worked as expected up until 127.3.1)
