WindWalker I used to be able to remove the + button that opens new tabs to free some space (i use only the hotkey) but the new update glued it to the adress bar. latest Sonoma (14)
Vlad WindWalker The button is part of the tab bar in compact tabs, and can't be repositioned/removed.
heisznberg WindWalker I've noticed the same issue when trying to get rid of it, then was about to open a bug report and I saw you already opened one. Very annoying tbh, hope we will get the possibility to hide it.
laiz Indeed this seems to be exclusive to compact tabs. Tabs, address bar, and the new tab button are part of the same object whereas on standard tab layout the new tab button can be removed on its own.
eirk Why was the new tab button added as part of the compact tab UI? I don't recall it being like that in the RC. Why can't it be kept separate, just like with Safari?
heisznberg Can we have the option to remove it please? It just adds more noise to the menu bar and it's not useful at all.
