could be a little hard to implement, as the actual tabs are in the way of the coloring.
making this post just for parity as I made one for vertical tabs.

    This was a preview image of colored tab chrome, but wasn't implemented. THis is basically what im looking for

      Seconding this! Love the feature for compact tabs but as a normal tab user i would love to see it eventually implemented!

        I love the colorization of the browser chrome when using the Compact tabs mode, but personally, I'm not a big fan of the funcationality of the Compact tabs. It would be awesome if the colorization options can be available for regular Tabs on Top mode as well.

        This would work the same way Vertical Tabs colorize the top toolbar, but would work with Tabs on Top mode as well, not just vertical and compact.
