Steps to reproduce:

  1. Visit https://practicetestautomation.com/practice-test-login/
  2. Add username / password to Bitwarden
  3. Open Bitwarden and select just-added login for autofill
  4. Observe no values are inserted into username or password fields

MacBook Air (macOS Sonoma 14.4 build 23E214)

I expect the Bitwarden extention to autofill the login details in the username and password fields.

    The same behaviour applies to iCloud Keychain Plugin, it does not insert username and passwords leaving a blank space.

      I get Orion to crash when trying to fill in passkeys (from Bitwarden).

      Steps to repro:

      1. go to a website where you have a passkey stored in bitwarden.
      2. try to log in to the website using the passkey
      3. as soon as the bitwarden passkey popup opens (its in a mini window) orion crashes
        (on latest rc, havent tested the dev build)

      Edit after using dev build with script fixes provided by dinesh:
      Bitwarden is still buggy for me. doesn't even log in until a long time (1 min) and is incredibly slow, seems like there is some kind of memory leak because Extension (Orion) is giving me at least 300mb memory. thats surprising, and does not happen normally. passkeys dont crash orion anymore, but it takes forever to authenticate & load. definitely some performance/memory issues it seems like. I also use touch id for bw authentication. Also the passkey window (from Bitwarden) never closes, just stays on loop.

        Anatomy5803 You are probably using the lastest version of Bitwarden, which is still buggy running in Orion. If you try the version under the popular extension panel, it should act just as fine as before. With that said, there is a lot of useful feature in the lastest version so I hope Orion will try to fix it soon.

            orionlover Yup, I'm using the latest version (the same Dinesh was using/testing in the Orion Discord). That version is buggy but has features I use. I'll just have to wait until a subsequent update fixes the issue.

                Yep I'm getting similar issues. Auto fill isn't working, sometimes the extensions isn't rendering on the first try,

                Currently I get this when trying to autofill by clicking on the bitwarden entry while a login box is showing:

                  I think it is Orion issue because the same version of BW works in Safari ok.
                  I also see Bitwarden is OK if you reload the extension, it'll work, but pretty quickly it'll go back to a state that doesn't function

                    rightsaidfred This issue is marked as done. whatever is causing it is caused by changes in bitwarden extension. we would appreciate opening a new bug report with steps to reproduce the issue.

                        I fixed my issue by following another suggestion and using the bitwarden version available in the "Popular Extensions" tab. May be an older version than the newest.

                          I think it is caused by Orion's low power mode on. C0n0 do you ahve that turned off?
