When you select text containing URL on a page e.g.
"Hello check my portfolio at 'https://www.hellokitty.design', you will love it"

  • you select the URL part & right click on it, it should show "Open in new tab" (Firefox), or "Go to XXX" (Edge/Chromium), etc.

Safari / Orion is the only one that doesn't do this, Chrome/Firefox & their derivatives all show open in new tab or "go to XXX" when you select a text that contains a URL.

This is what Safari / Orion looks like

This is what Firefox looks like.

    frykauf Thanks for the detailed report.

    This has been suggested before. I remember I've seen it. It would be great if users performed a search when suggesting reports and if a similar is found, upvote it.

    I know this is a lot to ask. But reality is we are a small team and can not do this kind of management. So currently we probably have two of these reports, each probably having 1 or 2 upvotes and they will get priority never.

        Like the "Paste and Go" fuction, then you come across a URL that haven't been made into a clickable link.
        Being able to highlight the link (fully or partial) and left click it, and the button "Go ...." (example: Go google.com) but it doesn't have to show the full link in the left click menu, but at least the main domain name of the link.

            This feature is present in the current RC (Version 0.99.123.3.3-rc (WebKit 616.1.4.5)):

            However, none of those options do anything when clicked.

            This should function as an easy way to test:
            https://orionfeedback.org

              laiz
              Fixed in Version 0.99.123.3.4-rc (WebKit 616.1.4.5).
              Everything works exactly as expected now.

                @Vlad mark as done
                oops, didn't see it was already "next release"
