Sync is forcibly enabled when iCloud Drive is disabled. The checkbox cannot be unchecked.
It presumably starts synchronizing content as soon as I enable iCloud sync on system level.
It should be possible to disable sync even if the underlying sync service is already disabled, preventing it from being enabled in the future.
