After updating to the latest Beta (Version 0.99.127-beta (WebKit 619.1.1), 14.3.1 (23D60)) 1Password is no longer filling passwords.
1Password for Mac 8.10.30 (81030001)
1Password Password Manager 2.21.0 (Chrome)
1Password Password Manager 2.21.0 (Firefox)

Example: https://www.eventim.de/mycustomerdata/#/login/register (Ich habe bereits ein Konto > Login mit E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort)

  • Autofill with the shortcut from the 1password mac app doen't work
  • Autofill from the browser extension (tested with both Firefox AND Chrome Extension) doesn't work.
  • Refreshing the browser doesn't fix the problem.
  • Clicking on "Autofill" manually from within the browser extension doesn't work.
  • Clicking into the form field no longer shows the 1password icon but instead shows the key item that I would associate with 1cloud autofill.

Settings:

  • Orion Password Provider: Use Orion's Keychain - deactivated
  • Extension Settings: Make 1Password the default password manager in the browser - activated
  • Extension Settings: Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app - activated
  • Extension Settings: Stop competing "sign-in with" popups in the browser - activated
  • App Settings: Connect to additional browsers - /Applications/Orion.app

On a personal note: The 1password integration has been historically instable/buggy. I'd appreciate a better 1password autofill support as this is currently one of the very few reasons I cannot use Orion as a daily driver. Thank you in advance!

  • Form fields fill automatically when entering a website
  • Form fields can be filled by clicking into the fields and on the 1password logo
  • Form fields can be filled with "Autofill" from the browser extension
  • Form fields can be filled with autofill shortcut directly from the mac app

Version 0.99.127-beta (WebKit 619.1.1), 14.3.1 (23D60)

Sonoma (14)

For a brief moment the firefox extension started autofilling after I granted permissions to use it on all websites but then broke down again shortly after.

I also encounter this issue on the Firefox extension, but usually simply reloading the page works.

I have noticed that the lack of auto-filling seems to be (at least somewhat) associated with situations where you click a link to a page that requires authentication, which then triggers a redirect to a login page (e.g. www.site.com/login?redirect=/page). I'm trying to find a good example that can be replicated...

          Version 0.99.127.2-rc
1Password Firefox and Chrome extensions (2.22.1)

Initially 1Password will autofill as expected and populate form fields; after a while it no longer registers in form fields. You can click in 1Password extension and cut and paste. Reloading the tab with login fields sometimes seems to "wake the process" and it will autofill again.

Appreciate Kagi and Orion! Rooting for you all!

I reported this issue in particular because 1Password didn't work at all after the beta update until I figured out that I have to grant permissions to use it on all websites. I am not sure what the solution would be for this. A notification for the user with an explanation that they have to grant permissions?

Like DanielN, I frequently run into the problem that I have to refresh the page for 1password to autofill passwords but I believe this is a separate unresolved issue. @Vlad shall we open an issue for that with reproducible steps or is it already reported somewhere in the forum?

In any case, I don't want to make this issue a collection of related issues necessarily.

My apologies, @gunjx—I didn't mean to hijack the issue. I wasn't sure if they were related. Happy to create a new one, if need be.

I have the same issue on Mac Version 0.99.127.2.1-rc (WebKit 619.1.1). 1Password shows the login details, but when I click, nothing is auto-filled, and I have to manually enter my credentials to log in.

Just started experiencing this issue on the latest version after an update to 0.99.128.2-beta.

I have this problem too. I'm clicking a lot of times :

PS: I'm using the 1password extension proposed in the Orion Popular Extensions window.

                      9 days later

1password installed from "Popular extension", still having some strange behavior on Linkedin.
LEFT Safari only with 1Password. RIGHT Orion only with 1Password.

Still having issues on Version 0.99.131-beta (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)

I think installing 1Password from the Chrome Web Store instead of Popular Extensions fixed an issue with passkeys, but I'm still having issues with autofill.

I'm frequently having issues where 1Password does not autofill credentials on sites. It also won't autofill credentials once I've selected the one I want to use from the drop down displayed.

Solution was to deauthorize Orion from 1Password app.
                          Remove 1Password from Orion.
                          Restart both apps.
                          Installed 1Password from Chrome store.
                          Reauthorized Orion in 1Password app.

                          Version 0.99.131-beta (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)
                          Build date Feb 13 2025
                          Mac 15.3 (Build 24D60)

                          1Password (8.10.60.27)

This is the most frequent bug I'm dealing with and given how important this tool is I'm bummed it hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm a Kagi subscriber and love what y'all are doing!

I disabled Dark Reader and one of the sites I was having issues with works. I think Dark Reader is secretly the culprit for a lot of the issues I was having.

Okay nevermind it's still being funky, but maybe slightly better? I'm not sure. It's hard to consistently reproduce the issue.

I have the same issue. It's unstable, and I don't know how to reproduce it. Generally, the extension seems to work slowly and sometimes fails to fill in the password on websites. I am experiencing different issues:

                                • I see the credentials below the field, click on them, but nothing happens.
                                • I click in the field, and nothing shows. When I click the extension icon, I see the password, click on auto-fill, and it works.
                                • I click in the field, and nothing shows. I click the extension icon, see the password, click on auto-fill, and nothing happens.

What can I do to resolve the issue? It seems random which step resolves it:

                                • Reload the page.
                                • Reload the extension.
                                • Disable and re-enable the extension.
                                • Restart the browser.

What can I do to troubleshoot the issue? Do the extension console logs help?

Additionally, my laptop just has become very slow. Checking the processes, I see the 1Password extension using a lot of memory. I'm frustrated with this instability and decided to send this message. 😅

                                  MrE

Caught the same behavior after updating to 0.99.131.0.1-beta (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4).

                                  This solution worked.

I'm still seeing this issue on the latest version of Orion: 0.99.131.0.2-beta. I know the release notes mentioned a bunch of fixes for 1password but if anything it seems like it's actually worse now.
