After updating to Version 0.99.127-beta (WebKit 619.1.1) on MacOS 14.3.1 (23D60) Whatsapp for Web (web.whatsapp.com) loads just fine, but any interaction is not recognized. As I switch tabs and back again, the state is updated. This means that I can basically click the input field of a message, write a message, hit enter but not see any updates until i switch to another tab and back again (to a successfully sent message)

Switching to compatibility mode does not resolve the issue. Neither does disabling all my extensions. Not sure how to showcase this in a video without sharing a lot of private information, but I'm happy to answer any questions if helpful.

One thing of note is that if I attempt to write a message by clicking the text field – then hold for instance the a button to open the accent menu – the accent menu shows (but not the output of choosing a character).

Whatsapp for Web should respond to any interaction as it previously did.

After I restarted Orion this morning it started working again and I thought that was that; but just a few minutes ago the state started freezing again. Confirmed it started working after restarting the browser.

Will collect more info next time it starts acting up.

Managed to reproduce this with a github tab. The video shows the biome release page (great tool btw) that doesn't update. I then switch to an empty tag and back, seeing the changes that I did via keyboard/trackpad.

      1. I scroll up and down the page
      2. I enter search
      3. I type in the search field

I'm seeing web.whatsapp.com freezing too. I tried refreshing the page, turning on compatibility mode, deleting all storage used by the app (ie. Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data... → whatsapp.com → Remove All), relinking WhatsApp to the browesr (ie. logging out, rescanning the QR code etc). Started several days ago, I think.

This is happening to me with other sites too such as YouTube & Plex since the 0.99.127-beta update in Sonoma 14.4. They work fine for a while after a browser restart, but after 10-20min of watching a video, any interractions with the website become unresponsive. Other tabs will work fine, and the videos will keep playing, but you cannot iterract with the website in the tab that is "frozen".

Seems to be the same issue described here: https://orionfeedback.org/d/7275-freeze-on-youtubecometc

Yep, this looks like a dupe of that issue. I will share a sample in there next time it occurs.
