Orion Version: Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2)
1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.27
1Password Extension Version: 2.21.0 for Chrome

Hello! I very much like the idea of Orion and am very impressed by how fast and lightweight it is and do understand that it is not a final product. I was trying to get the 1Password extension working by installing it in Orion. I followed the steps in the Orion documentation, added the browser to the white list etc. However, when I try to use the extension by clicking the extension button in the toolbar, the 1password pop-over menu appears but then turns white. 1Password still works for me on Firefox which is my daily browser for now.

I expected the 1Password popover menu to appear and be usable.

Orion Version: Version 0.99.126.4.1-beta (WebKit 618.1.2), MacOS

Ventura (13)

Edit
Sorry to close this as soon as I opened it by I fixed it by changing the 1Password extension from the Chrome version to the Firefox version.

Poison No problem. I think it would be good if the default download on the popular extensions page pointed to the FF extension rather than the chrome one as thats how I got the chrome one by accident.

The firefox extension doesn't have any passkey functionality in Orion though

I have this problem with the Chrome extension as well as the Firefox extension. Hard to nail down exactly but it just seems to re-lock almost-but-not-quite immediately. Switching tabs makes it log again more? Also, the icon in the toolbar doesn't update properly so it looks locked even when it isn't, so you don't always know when the change happened.

1Password extension version 2.27.1 (Chrome at the moment)
        Orion .99.128.2.1-beta (WebKit 619.1.11.111.2)

My experience: it's perpetually locked, so I no longer even try to use it in orion. I use it from my Mac's menubar and that works well enough, though not nearly as handily as what I had in Safari or Brave.
Pretty disappointing, as I use 1PW multiple times a day.

I was able to somewhat improve the chronic-locking situation by changing 1Password extension settings. By making the "idle" timeout longer than I would normally chose, it seems to work better. My impression is that the "idle" clock seems to be tab or site specific, so that it thinks that every new tab has been "idle" a long time. Not sure, but this helped.

Unfortunately password filling from the extension is still spotty, and the extension doesn't talk to the app properly the way it does for other browsers.

calm-tea6189 Apologies for replying to my own message but I realized that this was at least in part, possibly entirely, user error on my part. Apparently I failed to "Add Browser" for the Orion application in the 1Password App settings. I don't remember having to do this in the past or maybe it normally is somewhat automatic for the standard browsers, but it made an immediate difference in how well 1Password is working for me. This is great because 1Password integration has been my one real "ugh" obstacle to embracing Orion.

calm-tea6189 Now that you whitelisted Orion in 1Password, are you able to use the Chrome extension or only the Firefox extension?

It appears both work. I had been working with the Chrome extension, actually, and switched to Firefox just now when I saw your message and checked. After a few page reloads, it seems to be working just fine. I'll stick with the Firefox one for a while and see if I notice any differences one way or the other.

httpjames thanks! I got it working too looks like we need to use the chrome extension. Firefox version wasn't working for me.

alock Passkeys seem to work sometimes, not others. At least in some cases, the website seems to try and access a physical token (FIDO) that was set up, rather than the Passkey from 1Password. Other times, it seems to try and submit before I've gotten to click the Passkey button. I haven't been able to extensively troubleshoot.
