Previous work already addressed the performance issues of the Dashlane extension.
I can now pull out passwords, copy and paste, from Dashlane if I reach to the extension icon on the browser bar. This bug report is not about interactions with the Dashlane extension button on the browser bar.
It is the password auto-filling feature (in suitable value fields on a web page, a dashlane icon shows up offering to auto fill in the field if you click on it) never works. If I click on it, Dashlane acknowledges the input (changing icon from static to dynamic circling around) but then just hangs on, circling around. It never completes the auto-fill task, so each time I have to reach to the extension button on the browser bar to pull out the password and go back to the form to manually paste it.

      Just a new clear install of orion - after importing from arc (if that is relevant)

      Dashlane extension installed as only extension - Not showing up into any form: email, password (the logo is not present)

      What I already tried:

      • Restart browser
      • Reinstall dashlane (deleting and installing again)
      • Making sure I was logged in
      • Switched back browser :(

          Dashlane will not auto-fill. Install Dashlane extension; go to website with login and password fields. Click on the "D," and the D turns into a spinning logo. No autofill happens. Problem does not happen in Safari: Dashlane works in Safari.

              When using Dashlane to log in, occasionally the extension will break. This break results in the plug in starting the Dashlane pop-up and requesting biometrics to log in. Instead of showing your passwords, the pop-up remains greyed out and you are no longer able to interact with the browser. The only way you can fix the issue is by force quitting Orion and reopening the application. This is particularly disruptive, as it forces me to close all of the tabs that I had open.

              Steps to reproduce:
              This problem is infrequent, but it occurs about every 10 or so logins regardless of the time between the logins. You can reproduce this error by choosing Dashlane as your Password Provider, and repeatedly opening and closing the prompt until it breaks.

              Expected behavior:
              The Dashlane Extension login pop-up should not appear greyed out and it should show my passwords after providing biometrics.

                  I am running the following version of Orion:

                  Dashlane Chrome extension installed, but when I click into an item and try to mouse over the copy email or copy password button there is a 10 second delay before I can make the click.

                  Auto-fill rarely works too.

                      I did this after restarting Orion (just installed today, didn't restart the computer yet)
                      Steps to reproduce:
                      1- Click on dashlane icon
                      2- enter email address and clicked the login button
                      3- The button animation is blocked and the password input never appears

                        Steps to reproduce:

                        1. Install the extension.
                        2. Click the extension icon in the toolbar.
                        3. Login.
                        4. Visit any login page for which credentials exist in Dashlane. [[No autofill happens and there is no Dashlane icon in form fields]] or,
                        5. Click on the Dashlane icon and open password vault. [[The password vault shows up blank.]]

                        Expected behavior:
                        Credentials to be autofilled and a Dashlane icon in the form fields such as Username and Password.
                        Dashlane Vault should show all stored passwords.

                          Yeah, I'm having this same issue plus it's not asking to save a new login. I've recently switched to Dashlane so there are a few websites that I don't have on Dashlane so when login in, the extension should pop up asking if I want to save it there.

                                  Same here :/ Any updates on the subject? I have to admit that for me it's a deal breaker to switch to Orion

                                    Same issue on my front. I'd love to switch to Orion from Arc, but Dashlane is a must-use extension.

                                      Just updating to say with the latest update to both Orion (I am now on: Version 0.99.129.1.1-rc (WebKit 621.1.2.111.4)) and Dashlane plugin (it is running: 6.2446.0) it has become virtually unusable. I can open the plugin, click on the button to go to the webpage, the autofill has never worked, so if I click on the plugin to get the username/password it just freezes.
                                      Before it would take 10 seconds and I could copy the password, then go back to the plugin wait another 10 seconds and copy the password but now it just freezes until I click out of the plugin and even that takes so much time.

                                      I would like to provide a video but is there a way I can send it direct? This is for business and I am hesitant to send it here in the public space 🙂
