I can reproduce as well.

Monterey 12.6

Orion RC 0.99.126.4.1.8-rc

1Password browser extension version 2.21.0 via Chrome Store

I installed a new Macbook freshly today. Instaled Orion 0.99.126.4.1-beta, 1Password and the 1Password extension for Orion. Allowed Access for Orion browser via the 1Password app.
I logged into 1Password inside the browser and now I am getting the same white box upon clicking the extension symbol like on RC as reported 2 days ago.

A temporary workaround is to install the FIREFOX EXTENSION into Orion.
Not use via "Popular Extensions". And no, the CHROME extension doesn't work as of today.

After the 0.99.126.4.1.9-rc on 3/6/24, the 1Password extension no longer displays any information when clicked from the toolbar. The 1Password extension UI draws for 100ms then goes blank.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Install 1Password from popular extensions page
    2. Click 1Password icon from toolbar
    3. After flicker, 1Password extension UI is blank

    Correct behavior:

    1. 1Password extension UI remains visible

I have seen this bug in previous RC versions, I think it got introduced in the extension version 2.21.0 - I stayed on 2.20.0 and so far no issues.

It appears the 0.99.126.4.1.10-rc did not resolve this issue. It may be related to a 1Password extension upgrdade as I tested the new extension update feature at the same time.

Merged 4 posts from 1Password Chrome Extension Regression in 0.99.126.4.1.9-rc.

Switching to the Firefox version of the extension seems to resolve the issue. In general, do people tend to prefer one browser's extensions over the other?

matkam I'm not aware of any differences. Orion just switches the default to Firefox?

I have a feeling that autofill worked smoother with the "popular extesions" 1Password setup.
Since the white-box bug and my switch to the Firefox-plugin I see myself copy&pasting much more than previously.
                Don't have exact metrics though.

matkam I prefer Chrome extensions over Firefox unless the extension in question uses an WebExtension API not supported by Chrome or uses an essential MV2 API that will provide a better experience over MV3 (uBlock Origin). I mainly use Chrome extensions because of MV3.

Tested this on the latest RC build (0.99.126.4.1.10-rc) on my main profile and a clean profile. Definitely still getting a combination of the white box and the infinite crash/restart loop of the 1Password extension. Issue occurs with both the Popular Extensions version of 1Password and the Firefox version added directly from the 1Password website. Using the main 1Password app version 8.10.27 (81027003).

For the time being I've had to entirely remove 1Password from Orion.
